Welcome To Rydon
Rydon Community College is a unique College. We serve the local Community, through our Adult Education and Technology Status. We work closely with our primary feeders and Steyning Grammar School.
We have a vibrant, caring community of both staff and pupils. Many of our staff work for County as Outstanding Teachers.
Our pupils are aged 10 to 13 and have a fantastic array of specialist learning.
You can feel the inspiration, energy and enthusiasm as you walk around the College .
As parents, the choice of school for our children is one of the most significant decisions that we have to make. It is important to visit the school, talk to the Head, meet the pupils and teachers at work and therefore get a real feel for the College`s quality, style and atmosphere.
In 2010 we will be celebrating our first 70 years. If you have stories or photographs about Rydon please contact the College so that we can produce an exhibition as part of our celebration.
For regular information please see our weekly newsletter, which can be found under the parents ‘button’.
We have approximately 450 children with 61 staff. The college also has an extensive programme of Community Education, providing a full range of Youth and Adult and Community Learning courses for people in Storrington and the surrounding villages.
We have 13 acres of grounds and playing fields on the edge of the South Downs. We have classrooms designated for each subject area and a full range of specialist facilities, including well equipped science laboratories, state of the art computer rooms, a technology workshop, specialist music and art rooms, a gymnasium and an outdoor heated swimming pool.
